The #1 question our sales team gets is asking what the differences are between a sailcloth tent, a pole tent, and a frame tent are. So let’s break it down for you!
High Peak Pole Tents
- Our pole tents are made of 100% block-out vinyl.
- They require center poles and staking in order to be installed properly.
- Our pole tents vary in size starting at 20′ wide up to 60′ wide! Pole tents are rectangular in shape.

Sailcloth Tents
The tent vinyl on a sailcloth tent are lighter and made of a semi-translucent vinyl that allows in natural light during the day and then allows the tent to “glow” during evening events. With its rounded edges, detailed stitch patterns, and flag-adorned peaks, they are a popular tent for weddings!

Frame Tents
Unlike pole and sailcloth tents, frame tents do not have center poles. Some “high peak” tents have what resembles a peak of a pole tent, but the center pole does not interfere within the actual useable space underneath the tent. Frame tents can be installed on surfaces where we can’t stake, in place of staking a frame tent, we use concrete ballasts to secure. There is a variety of frame tents available:
- High Peak Frame Tents
- Gable Frame Tents
- Hip End Frame Tents
- Clear-Top Frame Tents
